Squaw Valley Ski Patroller Amy Holland’s Marathon to Fight Brain Cancer Benefit – DEC 7th
A month ago, Amy Holland was gearing up for her sixth season on Squaw Valley Ski Patrol. She had just found out that she was finally accepted into nursing school for the coming year. Everything was falling into place…
On November 1st, Amy collapsed at home and was rushed to Tahoe Forest Hospital in Truckee where she received a CT scan that revealed a mass on her brain. She was then immediately transferred to Renown Medical Center in Reno where they diagnosed the mass on Amy’s brain as one of the most aggressive types of cancer-a Glioblastoma-with a poor prognosis.
Amy is NOT a statistic! She is a fighter and we are here to help her in this fight.
Squaw Valley Ski Patrol is throwing a raffle & silent auction event at PlumpJack in The Village at Squaw Valley on Friday, December 7th at 5 p.m. Following the benefit will be an after party at the Auld Dubliner. All are welcome.
You DO NOT want to miss this event!
Our silent auction items will include but are not limited to: a custom pair of Praxis skis, a pair of skis with mount from Slant Skis, separate guided trips to Nat Geo Bowl and the new Squaw Via Ferrata with Alpenglow Expeditions, a 2018/2019 ski pass to Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows and assorted swag from brands such as Patagonia, Petzl, GoPro, Yeti, Oakley and many more. There will be something for everyone!..Who knows? A few historic Squaw Valley collectors items might even be up for grabs.
